Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis Live Action
Now ive take some time and talked to many people about the Russian Incident and I have to say im surprised by the responses, mostly for there diversity.

Opinion #1: Democrat / Anti War
Reaction: Odd this person believes we dropped the ball, and should have defended Georgia from the Russians, and saw it as a total failure.
He seemed to be pushing for a war with Russia and does not believe Russia will last long.

Opinion #2: Deep Conservative / Pro War #1
Reaction: This person believes we have already done all that we can do, and that we must not elevate the situation. Further does not believe any of the methods listed in the papers for punishing Russia to actually mean anything, including removal from the G8, and that Russia might actually benefit from that. Believes that the Winter Olympics being moved would cost the Russians millions but will probably not happen. Believes boycotting the winter Olympics would only hurt the united states.

Opinion #3: UK Citizen / Anti War
Reaction: There reaction was that the United States should stay out of it, including already has done too much not only in other regions but also Georgia, and that the humanitarian aid being delivered by us troops could cause a unwanted conflict. Does not believe its anyones business what Russia does, and that the interactions of other countries are not the united states or Europe's problem and that he would not support any conflict with Russia should even Europe decide to deploy.

Opinion #4: Deep Conservative / Pro War #2
Reaction: This believes that engaging Russia would be stupid, and pushes for political pressure including revoking for G8 would be devastating to Russia, Sees moving the Winter Olympics to be a very damaging blow to Russia but believes with further political pressure.

Now your wondering why the title at the top being Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis? Well there was a game released a while by Codemasters that played out a what if Russia invaded a small NATO country and how NATO would react. You see the conflict constantly escalating until both the US and Russia are pointing nukes at each other with fingers over the fire button... This is almost a live action version of this, but one big difference, NATO was stronger back then since the games time line was 1985 and a lot has changed since then.

Its still a possibility that was NATO runs out of possible methods to end the violence they will request there Multi National Coalition police force (United States) to rescue Georgia, but it seems the world is carefully trying to tip toe from this to happen. Most likely if NATO actually decides to rescue Georgia United States would be called into this, since many countries military is well much smaller, US, Russia, and China currently have the largest armies.

Face guys the world powers are no longer as strong as they use to be, the great nations simply exists in there former shadows of glory... they attempt to bask in it but the European nations are simply a whisper to there once great power.

They realize this through we also have something to admit in the United States, are armies are not as big as they use to be, our opinions and support of our troops is at a very scary low, with some Americans further glorifying the deaths of American Heros...

There is one factor not really discussed, what roles could PMC's (Private Military Corporations) hold onto these events.. the rest I guess could be conspiracy but I wonder if they had any pull in this conflict maybe not.

Alot of people are pushing that after taking Georgia that the Russians will continue to take Ukraine I guess the only ones who know the truth are the Russian leader(s).
